Tsun-I Wang
My name is Tsun-I Wang, and I’ve been a proud La Cresta resident for 19 years. I’m running for the LCPOA Board of Directors because I believe our community deserves a dedicated leader who will put members first.

My strong background in architecture and business has equipped me with a proven track record in managing budgets and complex projects. This expertise is crucial as the new board tackles La Cresta's severe financial challenges, as aptly described by current Treasurer and candidate James Kramer, as "bleeding money," while also prioritizing our primary, essential services like road maintenance.

I am committed to:

-
Fiscal responsibility: Implementing competitive bidding for contracts and ensuring our reserve account is managed wisely.
-
Member empowerment: Creating open and transparent communication channels so your voice is heard and respected.
-
Board unity: Fostering a collaborative environment where decisions benefit all residents, not just a select few.

La Cresta is my home, and I am deeply committed to preserving its unique character while enhancing our quality of life. I ask for your vote so that together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Thank you.
Tsun-I Wang

Responsible Spending
Prioritizing the maintenance of our roads and culverts. Our governing Documents state that this is its number one, primary responsibility. Currently, there appears to be more attention spent on the trails than on the roads. There has been a noticeable reduction in the repair and maintenance of our roads since 2020.
Competitive Bidding
Requiring competitive bids for all our contracts. The board needs to clearly establish a multiple bid process for maintenance/repairs to be done. Currently, the bid process appears to be haphazard at best. Some maintenance/repairs are approved from a single bid as an “emergency” while other maintenance/repairs appear to go through a bid process.
Reserve Account Management:
Operate the reserve account as required by law. Having over $2 million in the reserve account is excessive.
The reserve account must be managed by the laws governing such an account. There are multiple line items in the reserve that shouldn’t have a reserve. For example, why do we need $275k for the replacement of landscaping or $700K for fencing? That isn’t a critical item that would have to be immediately replaced if it was destroyed.
Member Engagement
Ensuring that member’s voices are heard and respected. Reforming the open meeting format and designing proper communication channels so members can direct their concerns and hold directors accountable for their behaviors and decisions.
Serving Members’ Interests
Maintain open and honest communication channels between the board and members.
By prioritizing the interests of the members, not the agendas of a few controlling individuals. a community association can foster a stronger sense of belonging, increase member satisfaction, and build a more resilient and united community.
Board Cooperation
Fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect among board members. Building consensus and teamwork to prevent internal conflict within the board.
Strengthening board cohesion through open communication and shared goals.
